Teen volunteers are an essential part of Safety Town. They are assigned 2-3 campers on the first day. They work to build a relationship with the campers so that is why we need the teens to be available for every day of the full 2 weeks of camp.

We rely on teens to provide the information for the daily safety topics and guide the campers through creating the projects that go with each topic.

The registration form asks for a short essay explaining why teens are interested in being part of the program.

Volunteers should be entering 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th grades in the fall. Community service hours are earned for participation in the program.

A 30-minute Orientation Session is held for teen volunteers on the first day. Teens are required to be at Camp by 9 am or 12:30 pm.
