EVANSTON SAFETY TOWN teaches safety lessons to children who are 4 - 7 years old in a day camp summer program at Kingsley School, 2300 Green Bay Road.. This is our 35th summer and without you, this program is not possible. You can earn community service time by volunteering at Safety Town. Have fun and serve your community too!
Teens have a very special role in this program. Under the guidance of a certified teacher and a teen aide, you will be responsible for teaching vital safety lessons to the campers. You will also help them practice these safety rules on the “Safety Town” outdoors. If you meet these requirements, PLEASE APPLY!
Please print the Teen Volunteer Registration Form and mail or deliver it to Linda Hemwall, Volunteer Teen Coordinator, 2715 Noyes Street, Evanston, 60201.
REQUIREMENTS
- You should be entering 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th grades this fall.
- You are willing to commit to work a FULL TWO-WEEK SESSION. Your hours are 9:00 – 11:45 AM or 12:30 – 3:15 PM.
- Please come for an orientation on the first day, arriving at either 9:00 AM or 12:30 PM.
